The US Navy CPO shirt – a classic among outdoor shirts.
Life on deck was and is a rough affair. That is why the clothing had to be specially designed to withstand wind and weather. Over the decades, certain materials and fits have therefore been developed in seafaring.
The 1943 CPO Shirt is one of those garments that emerged from the US Navy. Originally developed in the 1930s, the cut and material has changed only slightly over the decades. We chose the authentic 1940s cut for our version.
Good freedom of movement and 2 large breast pockets characterize this shirt.
Originally made from a heavy wool fabric, we decided on a flannel for this version.
